St. Paul & The Broken Bones is the powerhouse soul ensemble led by former bank clerk turned vocal tornado Paul Janeway. Together with Jesse Phillips (bass), Browan Lollar (guitar), Kevin Leon (drums), Al Gamble (keyboards), Allen Branstetter (trumpet), Chad Fisher (trombone) and Amari Ansari (saxophone), Paul formed the band in 2011 in Birmingham, Alabama.
The band broke through with their NPR Tiny Desk Concert in 2014. With St. Paul in the leading role — a modern-day Otis Redding singing his heart out from behind a desk — the video reached a staggering 10 million views on YouTube. Their mix of rock & roll, soul and vintage R&B brought St. Paul & The Broken Bones to the stages of the world’s biggest festivals. They have also shared the stage with The Rolling Stones, Lizzo and Black Pumas. Elton John is also a fan and invited them to perform at his Oscars party.
After performances at Best Kept Secret, in Ghent and at Het Depot, St. Paul & The Broken Bones are bringing their electrifying live show to Bruges for the very first time — a must-see for fans of Alabama Shakes, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Black Pumas!
