After a successful first edition featuring, among others, High On Fire and Conan as headliners, as well as the concert series with shows by acts such as Deafheaven, Psychonaut and Pothamus, it is time for a follow-up! Mark Sunday, October 25, 2026 in your calendar for Bruges Is Doomed Festival #2. The line-up will be announced soon, stay tuned!

Wolves In The Throne Roomus22:00

After their crushing appearance in 2024, the American atmospheric black metal heroes of Wolves In The Throne Room return to Bruges as the first headliner of the Bruges Is Doomed festival!
Inspired by the wild energy of the Pacific Northwest, their music is an ode to the nature of their home region, built with ritual precision and devotion to the true spirit of black metal through pulverizing blast beats, expansive ambient passages and sweeping guitar work.
With the trilogy ‘Two Hunters’ (2007), 'Black Cascade' (2009) and 'Celestial Lineage' (2011) for Southern Lord, Wolves In The Throne Room carved out a unique place within the US black metal scene: "somewhere between the crossovers and the kvlt.” Their concerts are a unique, intense and cathartic experience.

Oranssi Pazuzufi20:20

Few acts handle the rules of heavy music and extreme metal as freely as the Finnish experimental black metal band Oranssi Pazuzu. With their debut album Muukalainen Puhuu (2009), the group already delivered a unique take on underground black metal, which they expanded throughout albums such as Kosmonument (2011) and Valonielu (2013) with psychedelic and electronic elements, ultimately leading to the formula behind their breakthrough albums Värähtelijä (2016) and Mestarin kynsi (2020).
The sound of their follow-up Muuntautuja (2024) — built from chilling shrieks, blistering noise, hypnotic rhythms and excursions into psych, industrial, free jazz and dub — is the most intense work Oranssi Pazuzu has produced to date. Released through Nuclear Blast Records, the masterpiece once again confirms the band’s reputation as one of the most inimitable acts of their generation.

Wormus18:55

From the swampy depths of Florida’s Everglades emerges one of the most driven and dedicated acts in the contemporary underground metal scene. The ‘Necromantic Black Doom’ of Worm draws inspiration from the very foundations of the genre while giving those ideas a fresh twist. In doing so, the band alternates between elements of black, doom and death metal, without wanting to be confined to a single genre.

Múric17:30

With a sound that challenges genre boundaries and a vision that pushes creative limits, Múr is a new emissary from Iceland’s volcanic underground. The band’s dark, atmospheric and boundary-pushing metal at times echoes the prog metal of Devin Townsend Project and mid-era Opeth, combined with the technical prowess of Neurosis and Gojira. The result is a ‘wall of sound and emotion’, for which Múr draws inspiration from film scores, the power of nature, inner struggle and various forms of electronic music.

Final Doseuk16:30

Since their formation in 2020, the British Final Dose has built a reputation with their blend of the icy malevolence of black metal and the raw, uncompromising force of punk. On their two albums Void Inside (2023) and Eternal Shadow (2025), they showcase their unique sound: fast riffs, ferocious vocals and blackened melodies fused into an aggressive storm of bone-crushing fury.

Primitive Warfareus15:30

With their aggressive, blastbeat-driven war metal, Primitive Warfare pushes brutality and misanthropy to new extremes. The duo from South Carolina consists of U235 (guitar/vocals) and Pu239 (drums/backing vocals), and with just two members they have enough power to steamroll over any audience like a tank. Their combination of black and death metal is known as one of the most barbaric sounds around.
