Through a combination of immediately recognizable jangle pop and clever lyrics, Canadian duo Ducks Ltd. appeared on just about everyone’s radar with a bang, back in 2019. Their energetic indie rock songs, which wouldn’t seem out of place on a Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever or Kiwi Jr. album, prove an almost encyclopedic knowledge of 80’s underground guitar music. Think of The Chills, Flying Nun Records, The Go Betweens and their likes. Ducks Ltd. Deals in jangling guitars and catchy songs that nestle into your brain without losing any edge.

The only point of criticism about their debut album ‘Modern Fiction’ (2021)? with its 29 minutes and 45 seconds, it’s just too short! Other than that, it’s been nothing but praise from just about every relevant music blog or magazine:
