Uruguayan American singer-songwriter Juan Wauters doesn’t need big topics to touch hearts. His solo records, released by Captured Tracks, are big favourites with the music press. His unique solo shows have won him new fans all over the world: think a ‘folk version of Dan Deacon’.

Wauters focuses on traveling in his most recent two albums, ‘La Onda de Juan Pablo’ and ‘Introducing Juan Pablo’. ‘La Onda …’ was recorded in different cities throughout Latin America, while ‘Introducing …’ speaks of traveling between two worlds, Uruguay and New York, the two languages he speaks, and the distances between his daily life and life as an artist.
