Star guitarist and bandleader Duke Robillard, along with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robert Cray, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Nighthawks and others, was at the forefront of the new American blues wave sweeping Europe in the eighties. Robillard, one of the founding members of Roomful of Blues, built a solo career with his own The Pleasure Kings afterwards. He has also earned his spurs as lead guitarist with The Fabulous Thunderbirds (1990), Tom Waits (2006) and Bob Dylan (2013), among others.

As a guitarist, Robillard shows he is of all trades: rootsy blues, but equally well jazz, swing, jump blues and R&B. From Texas across Kansas City to Chicago's West Side: in his inimitable way, he jumps back and forth between the different styles that each give colour to 'The Blues' in their own way. Sometimes hitting, sometimes laidback, but always with an eye for finesse and originality.

After 38 years, we see Robillard back in Bruges, where he once made his Belgian hall debut. A not-to-be-missed reunion with a guitarist out of category!
