Feel free to call Digitalism one of the big names of the electrohouse-meets-rock sound that swept through clubland like a storm in the late nillies. With their debut 'Idealism' (2007) and signature tracks such as 'Zdarlight', 'Digitalism In Cairo', 'Pogo' and 'Jupiter Room', Hamburg duo Jens Moelle and Ismail Tüfekçi played the biggest stages of I Love Techno, Dour ánd Pukkelpop.
They themselves prefer to describe their sound as colourful: generous in chord progressions and layered melodies - influenced as much by the dance floor as by Morricone soundtracks and the indie rock of Interpol, The White Stripes and The Strokes. A sound they deepened on successors, 'I Love You, Dude' (2011), 'Mirage' (2016) and 'JPEG' (2021), without losing their recognisability. Thanks to their stellar live reputation and generous DJ sets, Digitalism also far surpassed the hype of the genre they helped make big: during DJ sets at Vooruit and Kompass Club, among others, the duo continues to prove itself as a guarantee for a thick rave.
