Pioneering UK dub producer and selector.

Manasseh sound system was founded in 1985 by a group of friends with the aim of playing reggae with a focus on its roots. Nick Manasseh started producing around 1986. After he met Scruff Guilder, he started the project 'Sound Iration' in Dub. Around the same time, Nick started his legendary radio show on Kiss FM. Then again, in the early 1990s, the Riz Label was founded by the Manasseh crew. Its first releases were Orville Smith's 'Leaving Rome', Bob Skeng's 'Education' and Earl 16's 'Natural Roots'. Riz soon established itself as one of the UK's leading roots labels. Other major releases on the Riz Label included Admiral Tibet's 'Permission', Marcella French's 'Be Still' and Manasseh meets the Equalizer's 'Soul Jah' from the album 'Dub The Millennium'.

Early 2004 saw the release of Nick Manasseh's 'Roots Garden' productions, which immediately took the UK reggae charts by storm. Singers like Johnny Osbourne, Ava Leigh, Luciano, Ras Zacchari, Levi Rhythm, Bob Skeng, Dark Angel and Brother Culture contributed tracks on Manasseh's releases. In addition, Nick also always stayed true to his roots as a DJ. He played all over the world with big names like MCs Brother Culture, Danny Red, Earl 16, Dark Angel and Kenny Knots.
