Jazz Brak has been part of STIKSTOF, Brussels' biggest Dutch-language hip-hop crew, since the beginning. Together with Zwangere Guy, Astrofisiks and DJ Vega, he has been steadily paving the way up with raw an honest street rap since 2010. At STIKSTOF, Jasper De Ridder a.k.a. Jazz Brak razor-sharp fillets the world around him with his seamless flow and raps on crowd favourites like 'Gele Blokken' and 'Frontal' at a lonely high level.
As a Brussels native, Jazz Brak now shows an insight into his personal life and sought the right words to describe his love-hate relationship with the capital. 'BRAK' is the title of his first solo album. Don't expect grotesque words from him about barkers and biters but a magnifying glass on his generation, his surroundings and family.
With 'BRAK', Jazz has already appeared on a number of festival line-ups, including the tasteful hip-hop festival Out The Frame and Ostend's Push The Button. In autumn, it's time for a first solo club show. Those who follow Jazz Brak know: no room for half-measures.
