More Music!

In 2019, the long-held aspirations of Cactus Muziekcentrum for the construction of a new venue/music centre are suddenly moving ahead. As a result, the organization is forced to reduce its concert and festival activities this year. At the request of Cactus Muziekcentrum, it was decided in that perspective that the previously planned 6th edition of More Music!, which had been planned between 11 and 14 April 2019, will be cancelled. Both Concertgebouw Brugge and Cactus Muziekcentrum have the intention to continue their cooperation on this festival in the future.

For their annual get-together, Cactus Muziekcentrum and Concertgebouw Bruges search for special musical acts. Four days of mind moving music: electronica (were already hosted: Little Dragon, Nosaj Thing, Rustie, Bonobo, Junior Boys, Plaid, Bibio, Hudson Mohawke, Mala In Cuba, Mount Kimbie, amongst others), challenging multimedia projects (on previous editions: Ryoji Ikeda, Herman Kolgen, Christian Marclay, Nicolas Bernier & Martin Messier, amongst others), singer-songwriters (Mark Eitzel, Benjamin Clementine), neo-classical (Max Richter, Michael Nyman, Jóhann Jóhannsson), innovators (Gravenhurst, Trixie Whitley, Low, Flying Horseman, The Notwist, Christine Vantzou) in the illustrious setting of Bruges concert hall.

With ‘A Track’, we give a special artist the ability to construct their own artistic course. During the previous editions, Bert Dockx, Spookhuisje, Liesa Van der Aa and others already gave insight in their world, inspirations and passions.

More Music! is a coproduction between Cactus Muziekcentrum vzw and Concertgebouw Brugge.
